Show off your trivia skills and rough the night out to help combat homelessness in the Territory

Jacana Energy is supporting St Vincent de Paul’s CEO Sleepout to help provide emergency assistance and pathways to a brighter future for homeless Territorians. Challenge yourself to a bit of Trivia in support of this worthy cause at the Jacana Energy-sponsored CEO Sleepout Trivia Night on Tuesday 31 May from 6pm, at the Trailer Boat Club.

It’s the second year that Jacana Energy rises to the CEO Sleepout challenge. Last year, Jacana Energy staff collectively raised over $4000 for the cause.

“As the Territory’s locally-based energy retailer, it is important for Jacana Energy to give back to the community, says Jacana Energy CEO Stuart Pearce. We do this by supporting charities like St Vinnies with their fundraising activities, by volunteering our time and even getting out of our comfort zone to sleep rough for the night when needs be” says Mr Pearce, one of four Jacana Energy executives registered for the CEO Sleepout this year.

Each year, Jacana Energy provides its partners St Vincent de Paul, Somerville, Catholic Care, Anglicare and the Salvation Army with $175,000 of emergency funding to help over 500 customers in hardship get on top of their electricity debts and on with their lives.

To keep with our commitment to look after our vulnerable customers, on Thursday 23 June Jacana Energy’s CEO Stuart Pearce and executive members Danny Moore, Michael Hoare and Shannon Plummer will sleep rough at the Darwin Waterfront as part of the CEO Sleepout. You can support their effort by donating directly through the CEO Sleepout website.

Jacana Energy is also sponsoring a CEO Sleepout Trivia Night on 31 May at the Trailer Boat Club with all proceeds going towards St Vinnies’ CEO Sleepout fundraising efforts in the NT. For more information and to purchase tickets go to the website.
