Electricity retail prices charged to business customers (those consuming less than 750 megawatt hours per year) are regulated and subsidised by the Northern Territory Government through the electricity pricing order

Business tariffs

Valid from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.

Standard Business

The same flat rate at any time, any day for businesses consuming less than 500 MWh per year.

Time of Use Business

Best suited to businesses which mostly use electricity between 9am to 3pm daily.

To sign up to a time of use tariff, you must:

  • consume less than 160 MWh per year
  • have a smart meter.

Large Use Business

High voltage

Sites with a high voltage connection are charged $143.3072 (including GST) per day for their connection. Usage charges apply based on the applicable unit rate for Standard Business or Large Use Business. 

Public Benevolent Institutions (PBI) tariffs

Applicable to eligible charitable organisations registered as a PBI with the ACNC.

Valid from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.
