Concessions

If you are part of the NT Concession Scheme or NT Seniors Recognition Scheme, you may be eligible for a concession on your electricity bill.

Eligible concession types

NT Concession Scheme (NTCS)

You can receive up to $1,200 per year towards your bill if you:

  • have joined the NT Concession Scheme
  • are the primary account holder for your electricity account (your name appears on the bill).

What you need to know

  • Only one concession can apply to each house.
  • Your concession cap is reset each year on 1 July.
  • Concessions are usually spread across multiple bills. Your electricity bill will display how much of your concession you have used.

NT Seniors Recognition Scheme (NTSRS)

If you are enrolled in the NT Seniors Recognition Scheme, your prepaid card can be used on your electricity bills.

What you need to know

  • You can choose any amount to pay with your prepaid card.
