If you’re in the business of helping others, we can help you save on electricity
The Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) Tariff means registered charities get a lower electricity rate than the standard commercial one.
It’s money you can reinvest in those Territorians who need it most
On average, the PBI tariff can help not-for-profit organisations save approximately 11% on consumption costs and 22% on fixed daily charge costs compared to a flat rate commercial tariff.

Some questions we hear a lot...
Public Benevolent Institutions (PBI) are a type of charitable institution whose main purpose is to relieve poverty or distress.
PBIs are recognised by the Australian Charities and Non-for-profit Commission (ACNC) and the Australian Taxation Office as a subtype of charity.
Most NT-based PBI organisations are operating in sectors such as remote and aboriginal health, welfare and social services, emergency relief, community care services etc.
